 Seller's Guide

Registering
1. In order to post an item to be auctioned or sold,  you must first be registered. To register, simply click on the Register link.  Choose a user name which you can easily remember, and fill in the other required fields.  Your password will automatically be generated and emailed to you.  You can change your password at any time by choosing the Member Services option and then clicking the Change Your Password link.  You only need to register once,  as you can change your user information at any time by choosing Member Services, and then clicking the Edit My Registration link.
Note: There may only be one account per email address.  The system will not let you create more than one account with the same email address.

Entering Your Billing Information
1. Once you have an active account,  you must enter in your billing information in order to post an auction.  You can enter your billing information by choosing the Member Services option, then clicking on the My Billing Information link.
2. You can change your billing information at any time by choosing the Member Services option, then clicking on the My Billing Information link.

Listing an Item
1.

To post an auction or item for sale, you must first be registered (see above) and signed in.  Registered members can sign in using with username and password by clicking Log in in the top right hand corner.

2. Once you are logged in, click the Post an Auction link which is found in the menu on the right hand side, under Auctions.  Simply follow all the onscreen instructions to add your item, including uploading of your image(s).  All options that have an associated charge will note that charge when you choose it. Use the Help links if you are confused by any options.

Once you have entered all the information about your item,  you will be presented with a preview screen where you can review all of the information you have entered and options you have chosen. Use the Back button to go back and make any necessary changes.  Do not press the Finish button until you are absolutely sure that all of the information is correct.  You will not be able to change or edit any information once you press the Finish button, and your account will immediately be charged  with any applicable charges.

Once you press the Finish button your auction will be listed immediately and you will be presented with a link to where you can view your auction, and a receipt for what you have been charged for adding the auction.  It is highly recommended that you print out this receipt as a record of your transaction.

Your Account Status and Billing
1. You can check the status of any debits or credits that have been charged to your account by choosing the Member Services option, and clicking on the View My Bill link.
2. Log into your account using your username and password,  and then choose a date for which to view your bill.  All transactions for your chosen billing period will tell you what the debit (Listing Fee, Closing Fee) or credit (Transaction Code, Registration Credit) was for, how much it was, and the date that it was processed.
3. Your account will be billed on a monthly basis.  All account balances will carry over to the next month.

Note: Accounts with past due balances may be frozen by an administrator.  Users with a frozen account will not be able to bid, post items, or edit their account information.

Different Auction Types
1. Standard Auction: Use to sell just one product at a time. Bidding raises the price incrementally, and there can only be one winner of a standard auction (the highest bidder).
2. Multiple Auction: These auctions are for people selling two or more items that are exactly the same, and are willing sell them separately to individual bidders. The seller specifies the quantity of the auction item, and there can be multiple winning bids (depending on how many items are for sale). This is great for photographic prints or manufactured items, and saves time and hassle posting numerous auctions.
3. Reverse Auction: Allows a potential buyer to list what they want/need and have sellers submit offers. The buyer lists the highest they are willing to pay for a specific product or service, and the price drops incrementally as bidding progresses, allowing the buyer to achieve the best possible price for a desired item. For example, the auctioneer (in this case the buyer) may list a 12”x12” canvas and start the bidding at $20, indicating they are looking to buy a canvas and are willing to pay up to $20 for this item. In this case, the first bid must be no more than $20, indicating a seller has a 12”x12” canvas and is willing to sell it to the buyer (auction-holder) for $20. All bids thereafter must offer a lower price, indicating they also have a canvas to sell, but are willing to sell it at a lower cost to the buyer. The lowest bid in a Reverse auction wins the right to sell to the buyer.
4. Blind Auction: Similar to a standard auction, however, the bidding process is not interactive and bidders only receive information of their bid ranking once the auction closes. The highest bid wins the item.
5. RFQ (Request for Quotation): Similar to a Reverse auction, as the auction-holder is looking to buy a product or service and is inviting offers from people selling. However, RFQ auctions are not automatically determined by price as they are in a Reverse auction. In this case, the auctioneer (the person/organization interested in receiving bids/quotes) can select who is the winning bidder based on any number of factors, such as reputation of the bidder (seller), additional products or services being offered, timeline to deliver etc.
6. Barter Auction: Bidders may offer a product, service, cash or a combination, in exchange for the auction item. The auctioneer (seller) is able to choose whichever offer he/she wants to accept.
7. Turbo Auction: Similar to a Standard Auction, however a Turbo Auction forces a low starting bid of $1 and does not allow a reserve price. For a fast sale!
8. Fixed Price: The seller offers an item with a non-negotiable price. The first bid wins the item and the auction closes immediately.
